Houston Botanic Garden

Listing Description

Featuring 17 minimalist, large-form aluminum frames across 15 stops around the Garden’s 132 acres, “ViewPoints” invites visitors to get a fresh perspective on selected iconic locations, while also discovering a few often-overlooked staff favorites along the way. Some of the pieces form giant archways that serve as portals to ecological adventure. Others are suspended from native live oak trees to create the sense of coming upon a work hanging in a gallery.

The nature of each scene will change with the season, as plants bloom, produce fruit, go to seed, etc. What visitors see today will most likely look different, yet no less compelling, on a return visit.

For those who want to go deeper, the Garden’s digital guide from Bloomberg Connects includes a tour of the exhibition, with details on why each location was chosen, some of the specific plants guests will see through the frame, and more context to enhance the experience.

The exhibit is included with Garden admission or free for members.
